Which AWS regions can Panther be deployed in?

Last updated: September 8, 2025

QUESTION

Which AWS regions can my Panther account be hosted in? How do I request more AWS regions to onboard logs from? We are encountering a PrincipalNotFound error when setting up an SNS Topic access policy during log source onboarding.

ANSWER

Panther can be deployed to any of the following regions:

  • ap-northeast-1    # Asia Pacific (Tokyo)

  • ap-northeast-2   # Asia Pacific (Seoul)

  • ap-south-1          # Asia Pacific (Mumbai)

  • ap-southeast-1   # Asia Pacific (Singapore)

  • ap-southeast-2  # Asia Pacific (Sydney)

  • ca-central-1        # Canada (Central)

  • eu-central-1        # Europe (Frankfurt)

  • eu-west-1            # Europe (Ireland)

  • eu-west-2           # Europe (London)

  • eu-west-3           # Europe (Paris)

  • us-east-1             # US East (N. Virginia)

  • us-east-2            # US East (Ohio)

  • us-west-2           # US West (Oregon)

Please contact Panther Support to check if we support hosting in your desired AWS region. If Panther does not support it, we will submit a feature request to our engineering team to enable hosting in that region.

A PrincipalNotFound error during log source onboarding can indicate that the region your AWS infrastructure is in is not enabled in your Panther account. Panther can enable additional opt-in regions to support onboarding an SQS source or SNS source on request.
