Will uploading an empty /schemas directory using the GitHub Actions workflow in Panther delete our existing schemas?

QUESTION

If we use the GitHub Actions workflow to push changes to our instance and the schemas directory is empty, will it overwrite or remove our existing schemas?

ANSWER

The schemas in Panther cannot be deleted, only archived if necessary. Existing schemas will remain intact. However, if you push schemas with the same schema value in the associated schema YAML file, they will be overwritten.
