How can I get updates whenever Panther releases updates or new detection content?
You can learn about new panther-analysis releases as they're published by enabling Slack notifications via the GitHub integration.
In addition to the Slack notifications described in this article, you can also use the Sync Panther Analysis from Upstream GitHub Action to generate automated pull requests. Learn more in Staying up to date with panther-analysis releases.
Visit the Slack Marketplace.
Search for "GitHub" and select the GitHub app.
If it isn't already added, click "Add to Slack" and follow the prompts to authorize the integration.
Once the Slack GitHub integration is active, follow these steps to receive notifications about new panther-analysis releases:
Open the Slack channel where you want to receive notifications.
Ensure the channel is one that you own. If you are interested in the notifications in your shared Panther channel, please submit a support ticket.
Use the GitHub integration subscribe command:
In the Slack message input field, type the following command:
/github subscribe https://github.com/panther-labs/panther-analysis releasesPress Enter to execute the command.
Confirm the subscription:
After running the command, Slack will display a confirmation message indicating the subscription was successful.
The next time Panther releases new content to panther-analysis, you will get a message in Slack.
