Cloud Connected and Self-Hosted: Why is my Panther update failing?

Issue

When trying to update my Cloud Connected (formerly known as CPaaS) or Self-Hosted Panther instance, the following error occurs: 

Upgrading Panther role to 1.xx.0 failed with error:

Error: error waiting for CloudFormation Stack update: failed to update CloudFormation stack (UPDATEROLLBACKCOMPLETE)

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

• Please ensure that the CloudFormation stack being upgraded is 

  panther-deployment-role

Cause

This issue occurs when the user accidentally attempts to update another stack, such as:

panther-cloud-account-ingestion

instead of 

panther-deployment-role

However, if this is not the case, please contact the Support team!
