Resolving {"message": "Not Found"} error when authorizing Google Workspace log source in Panther

Last updated: November 18, 2025

QUESTION

How do I resolve a 404 {"message": "Not Found"} error that appears when clicking "Authorize on Google Workspace" or "Grant Access" while setting up a Google Workspace log source in Panther?

ANSWER

We've observed transient issues with API Gateway in the past that can sometimes be resolved by redeploying the API Gateway or enabling the logs:

  1. Try redeploying the API Gateway.

  2. Temporarily "enable access logging" on your API Gateway.

  3. Try the Google Workspace authorization process again.

  4. Make sure you turn off "enable access logging" afterwards, as costs can incur.

For Cloud-Connected accounts:

If you continue to experience issues after enabling logging, you may need to contact AWS Support for further assistance with your API Gateway configuration.
