Why is the Data Replay section not visible for my Detection?

Issue

When trying to use Data Replay for a Detection in Panther, the Data Replay section is not visible in the Detection configuration interface.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Navigate to your Detection's configuration page

  2. Locate the "Create Alert" toggle in the Detection settings

  3. Ensure the "Create Alert" toggle is set to ON

The Data Replay section will appear once alerts are enabled for the Detection.

Cause

This issue occurs because Data Replay is directly tied to alert generation. When the "Create Alert" toggle is set to OFF, Panther automatically hides alert-related features, including:

  • The Alerts tab at the top of the Detection

  • The Data Replay section
