When manually creating an Event Relay to send Salesforce Real-Time Events to a Panther-managed AWS account, why do I receive the following error, and how do I resolve it?

The configured event relay's AWS named credentials are invalid. ANSWER

This error occurs because the Partner Event Source created by Salesforce is in a PENDING state in AWS EventBridge and has not yet been activated on the Panther-managed AWS account side.

  • For SaaS customers: Please contact Panther Support and provide the Partner Event Source name(s) shown in the error message: aws.partner/salesforce.com/<OrgID>/<EventRelayID> to activate the Partner Event Source from the Panther-managed AWS account before events can be received successfully.

  • For Cloud Connected customers: The Partner Event Source must be activated from your AWS account.

Once Panther Support confirms the sources have been activated, the error should be resolved, and your Salesforce Event Relay should begin functioning as expected.
