What does it mean if my Snowflake warehouse is suspended?

QUESTION

Looking in my Snowflake Console, I see that my Snowflake warehouse is in a suspended state. What does that mean? Am I still able to use Snowflake?

ANSWER

Snowflake warehouses enter a suspended state when not in use. For all intents and purposes, consider suspended to mean inactive. When you need to make a new query, the warehouse will become active again.
