How to check which detections are deployed in the Panther Console

QUESTION

How do I see whether Panther's built-in detections are deployed in my Panther Console instance, and whether we have the right logs being ingested in order to see alerts from those detections?

ANSWER

The easiest way is to navigate in the Panther Console to Build > Detections and search for the name of the detections. You can also go to Build > Packs and search for the name of the pack there.

To verify that your Panther Console is ingesting the correct log type for these detections, go to Investigate > Search, and in the "Tables" dropdown, select your target log type.
