When changing the domain name of Salesforce, do I need to change the log source in Panther?

QUESTION

The domain name of my Salesforce system is changing, which will change its URL. Will I need to change the configuration for this Salesforce log source integration in Panther?

ANSWER

In most situations, you will not need to changge the configuration in Panther. To connect to the Salesforce API and collect log events, Panther only requires the username and password of your account, and a security token. If your username changes as a result of the change on the Salesforce side, then this piece will need to change in Panther.
