Are my Salesforce log events batched and sent to Panther at a specific time?

QUESTION

My Salesforce source is configured for daily log pulling in Panther. Are the Salesforce log events batched and sent over to Panther once a day at a specific time?

ANSWER

  • The Salesforce log events are batched. 
  • Panther's Salesforce puller does not run at a specific time once a day. Instead, it checks every 15 minutes whether Salesforce has released daily logs for that day. If the logs for the day are available, they are downloaded and processed. The actual timing of log availability depends on when Salesforce generates and releases the logs.
