QUESTION

How come my cloud resources haven't updated after I configured Cloud Security Scanning?

ANSWER

When configuring Cloud Security for a given account, the default scan interval is 24 hours. After configuring a new cloud account, the initial scan will occur within 24 hours, not necessarily right after the configuration is complete.

To reduce this interval, configure real-time monitoring. With real-time monitoring, Panther will scan Cloudtrail logs or subscribe to Cloudwatch events and will perform an ad-hoc resource scan whenever a change is reported to Panther.
